Carl Sinkler
Saxophonist Extraordinaire
Carl S. Sinkler, a native of Columbia, SC, has been playing the saxophone for over 30 years. He began learning to play instruments at the age of 11. He attended South Carolina State University where he studied saxophone under Ronald J. Sarjeant.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in music education and was inducted into the SC State University Jazz Hall of Fame. He later earned his Master of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia where he studied with Roger Pemberton.
Having performed with such artists as the late Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Sample, Clark Terry, Max Roach, Horace Ott, Johnny Williams, Millie Jackson, and a host of others, Carl has extensive performance experience.

Not only does he perform regularly, he has been a high school band director for 22 years.
Carl has performed as a featured soloist for weddings, private parties, night clubs, restaurants, and many special events.
He is also a studio musician as well as a freelance saxophonist for several bands in North and South Carolina as well as throughout the southeastern U.S.
